Stockport made history on Friday. Orchestrated by SK1 Records and The Spinn Off (Stockport’s street rave duo) we transformed Little Underbank into a free rave not dissimilar to those seen in the coolest parts of Europe. Dancing on the cobbles, huddled between historic buildings, familiar and fresh faces alike were contributing to a real moment. 👌🏼

The event was called É Soul Cultura Vol.2, named after Luke Una’s new compilation that was released the same night. There was also support from Joe Synkro, Jason Boardman and Psychederek. The vibes were funky, 80s, experimental, dubby and everything in between. 

SK1 have been running these street events for a while now, but this one felt like the best yet - the energy, the numbers and the smiles said it all. I certainly remember repeatedly boasting that it was ‘the best day of my life’ through a drunken haze so I reckon that says it all. We’re buzzin to see what other events SK1 bring to our special town.
