Always used by Berber women of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, argan oil is extracted from the fruit of the argan tree, a monumental wild tree. The Phoenicians used this “desert gold” in their oil lamps. Extracted using ancestral processes, argan oil is cold extracted, and is used for cooking or cosmetics depending on whether the kernels of the argan fruit have been roasted or not.
